Barritt Cup Exit

Amlwch were today knocked out of the Barritt Cup by Prestatyn Town Reserve side which boasted several players with Welsh Premier experience.
Dan Evans( 8) put the hosts ahead when he was allowed time on the edge of the box to chip the keeper. Jon Fisher-Cooke (22)then doubled the lead when he turned a defender on the hallf way line and raced through to score. Chris Davies (35) rounded off the first half scoring when he slotted home after a fine run from the back.
Amlwch upped the tempo in the second half and were unable to convert a few chances before Patrick Roberts (72) finally managed to find the net from the penalty spot. However minutes later a headed clearance fell kindly to Dan Evans (74) who made no mistake in firing home and a somewhat flattering scoreline was wrapped up when an own goal by Gareth Pritchard (89) somehow found it's way into the net.
Although the records will show another heavy defeat it was a mass improvement on the previous week's showing and confidence is high in preparation to vital league fixtures over the festive period.
